Our world is full of great people with good ideas. So how can you stand out? By delighting your clients. It’s not simply about delivering anymore; it’s about being memorable, being intentional, and being a pleasure to work with. So check out these two practical ways to stand out and delight (not just deliver to) your clients. 

  1. Deliver quickly. Beat the expected timeline.

    When working on a new project, there are three things that are always clarified right off the bat: the who, the what, and the when. The “when” aspect of things tends to be the most concrete. That makes delighting clients by beating an expected timeline a super clear goal; simply beat the agreed upon date by a day or even a week! Delivering early and quickly is a great way to show clients that they matter and are at the top of your list. 

  2. Deliver more. Beat the expected end result.

    Most companies do what they say they’re going to do. They deliver on their promises and follow through on what’s been asked of them. So how can you stand out and delight clients? Do more than what is expected. Maybe you agreed on giving 10 ideas; so give 15. Maybe you agreed to grow sales by 5%; so aim for 10%. Maybe you agreed to give financial advice; so include general business advice, as well.
