Patience: we all want it, yet we all struggle to obtain it. So how can we be more patient? Let's start by defining what exactly patience is.
Patience (noun) is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
With that definition in mind, here are 2 ways to be more patient:
Expect Delays:
No business, relationship, or experience is perfect. So one of the simplest ways to be more patient is to expect delays, trouble, and suffering. When we're prepared for these, we are more apt to display patience in the inevitable moments of tension.Avoid Anger:
When we experience delays, troubles, and suffering, anger can oftentimes be a natural reaction. But patience requires us to stay calm and stay the course. So when that anger begins to bubble near the surface, take a step back, take a breath, and take a moment to come up with a solution instead.
