As we head into the fall, many of us are returning to our routines. Summer vacations are over, the kids are starting a new school year, and the workload is piling back up. But before you get overwhelmed by the busyness, this is a great opportunity to take a few moments to consider and create some smart habits.
Ask yourself the following questions to get going:
How do you want to start each month? Before you know it, the end of 2024 will be here. So consider making a habit of starting each month thinking through bigger goals you want to accomplish this fall and how you can tackle them. Maybe you want to live a healthier lifestyle. Maybe you want to increase your business’ revenue by X amount. Or maybe you want to learn a new skill. Whatever it may be, take some time at the start of each month resurfacing and reprioritizing your goals.
How do you want to start each week? It’s all too easy to head into our week without a plan. We spend the first few days playing catch up, and realize there’s rarely time to get ahead and play offense in any aspect of our lives. So be sure to make a habit of starting each week with a prioritized to-do list.
How do you want to start each day? How we start each day is perhaps the smartest and most important habit we can create in our lives. Take some time to consider what needs to be involved in your morning habit – things like prayer, eating a healthy breakfast, spending time with your kids or spouse, etc.
