3 Things to Ask Before Hiring a New Employee

Hiring people can be a tough process. But it doesn’t have to be! When it comes to finding the right employee for the right role, simply ask these three questions.

 

  1. Will they fit well in this role? Begin by ensuring this applicant fits into the role. It’s critical that they have the experience and the education needed to fulfill the job description. At a minimum, they need to be able to function in this role and meet expectations.

  2. Will they fit well in this company? Next, it’s important to evaluate if they will fit into your company. To avoid a high overturn rate, be sure that this applicant understands the functionality of the entire company at large - and is ready to invest in the company’s mission and goals. 

  3. Will they fit well in this culture? And finally, you’ll want to know if this applicant fits well into the culture. This is the most important aspect of an applicant, yet easily overlooked. Ask yourself, does this person share our same values and work ethic? Are they passionate about the things your team is passionate about?
